I suppose we're talking about the downloadable installation where the error happens?

The web site https://alpha.heatledger.com should work while the downloadable necessarily doesn't until a patch is uploaded.

Yes this error is probably due to the recent commit change, so I'm not surprised the "release" local client does not connect properly right now. It might be nice if verymuchso can push a fixed release with the changes so people can do a last minute local verification / confirm ownership of ICO address before the big genesis. Just a thought, in case others want to do verification locally instead of the web alpha wallet.

I would personally feel more comfortable entering my seed into a local client rather than a web based one.
+1 Would much prefer to download a new wallet over using a web wallet.

Try browser refresh (CTRL+F5)

Thanks for reporting anyhow, important.

Same Here - Tried CTRL+F5 as well. Wallet will not allow me to log in after inputting my PIN

Really liking this one - super slick design - simple - easy to recognize and to the point.

Interesting tips, some of which are new to me.

Attach Java scripts and css in forum in separate files to bring the content higher on the page for the search engines.
Is this relevant nowadays? Easier said than done.

Absolutely - the cleaner the code, the higher the spiderable content the more relevant.

I would also recommend moving the forum to a subdomain - forum.heatledger.com and 301 redirecting heatledger.net
Why?
Because if you look at your serps snippets you will quickly see within the url structure the word forum within the url - this also offers a que to users that the forum is the "official forum". As the community grows other niche forums will spring up. You want to make sure that yours is unique from others. This also assists in branding and ensures that one single domain is receiving credit as the official source - finally - its cheaper :)in the long run from a hosting / name registration / maintenance standpoint.

Here are a few recommendations to help get this forum out there:

Install Google Analytics!!! - create a marketing gmail account specifically for heat ledger and install google analytics off of that email address

Verify Google Search Console & Bing Webmaster access

Create sitemap and submit to GSC & Bing

Install addthis.com widget into the forum (offers excellent analytics on how your website is shared across the social networks.

Attach Java scripts and css in forum in separate files to bring the content higher on the page for the search engines.

Change Title:  to include Heat Ledger Forum <title>HEAT Forum - Index</title> is the current one - several people know the coin as "Heat Ledger" - Also make sure to include the word cryptocurrency in the meta description to help Google sort out the content.

Include a link to the Heat Forum in the primary navigation of http://heatledger.com/

I would also recommend moving the forum to a subdomain - forum.heatledger.com and 301 redirecting heatledger.net to heatledger.com (of course repeat steps for google analytics and search console submission for both sub-domain and primary domain.

Yes, the reply box should be just below the shouts.

Permissions settings? Cannot see the reply button either - running chrome on windows 7.

No code for shoutbox reply present either:

Here is an interesting continuation...
The Dickenson message is the last message I sent to myself. Notice it does not show up in the home screen but a new message id is created on the sidebar where the message is visible.

I initially thought it was due to the character size; however the domain vs sub-domain piece has more characters in the message.

Sidenote: Customizable Transaction Labels for the sidebar would be extremely sexy :)

Had to log out and back in before my balance updated when receiving coins. Would be nice if this auto updated.
That's a basic feature of course in proper release. Currently the balance should auto update on new blocks (average 25 secs).

Balances are supposed to update in real-time over the websocket listeners (https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heat-ui/blob/master/app/src/components/user-balance.ts#L70).
Could've been a timeout (bug) or that the network simply did not see it yet.
I'll keep an eye on it.
