As most of the comments on both forums are on communication (or lack thereof) I am proposing to provide a weekly update on what has been done in the past week and what is expected to be done in the next week.

This gives the community an idea on what is happening without having to promise on any deadlines.

I understand that developers are busy but as there is time for a bi-weekly crypto roundup, there should be time to provide info on the project itself.

Personally, I am completely lost on what to expect and what is going on. Think it would give the community some confidence if we can see what is going on behind the scenes.

That's not a bad idea at all!

The crypto roundup is prepared by a contractor (HEAT's Dedicated Crypto Blogger) who is not privy to the developments that only me and Dennis know about.

Besides development related specification and implementation tasks that Dennis is in most part taking care of, my plate currently has every other thing related to making contacts, meeting people, negotiating partners, preparing technical and reporting documentation, handling bureaucracy, organizing IPO, preparing accounting, preparing speeches, giving speeches, planning marketing, organizing ICO redemption, scouting and hiring staff, specifying and briefing subcontractor tasks, arranging office space, paying bills and wages, and some additional stuff. So, let's see whether we're able to do the weekly update before more dedicated staff arrives :)

Even this is good to know! thanks for the update!

Think that it really helps to keep people sticking around. Good example is Maidsafe. Their community is really active and everybody is eager to see the tuesday developer update (see safenetforum.org)

It would be good if you filmed or audio recorded your speeches..

Communication is huge - looking forward to regular updates - even a "this is what we are working on" usually calms the masses :)

So where can I go to read about development? Bitcointalk got overrun by trolls.

Thanks for the interest - We'll be focusing on posting development updates here on this forum, possibly http://heatledger.ghost.io/ and a moderated Bitcointalk thread.

There seems to be a lot of back and forth with opinions about the moderated thread. I for one like the idea. I know there is a ignore-button but then again, in civilized circumstances that should not be needed. Criticism and opinions do play a big part in everything, but they could be presented in such a way better format.

Thanks for making these updates.
