HEAT ICO CLAIM HAS STARTED !!

This release contains various smaller bug fixes, a new local storage solution, new and unread message notifications and a temporary ICO claim section for claiming your genesis HEAT.

User support/feedback functionality has also been added to the client, use it whenever you need help during the ICO claim process.

To claim your HEAT you could use both the web version and the desktop versions, it is however more secure to use the desktop version since you can verify it's origin in ways that are simply not possible with any website.

The ICO claim process will ask you to provide the address(es) from which you've sent your investment and will provide you with a confirmation address and a small payment to your ICO address (to cover the transaction costs).

You are then to send a payment from your ICO address to the confirmation address to confirm your ownership of that address. Confirmation is near instant and will be visible in the claim section.

Your HEAT-TEST account (the one you use in this client) will be your final *real* genesis account in the HEAT genesis block, so make sure you use a unique secret phrase. You can claim multiple ICO addresses and assign them all to your one single HEAT account.

The claim process helps you to properly backup your HEAT secret phrase (aka your super secret/super important master key).
Through the client UI you have the option to:

  • Print your secret phrase directly from the app to your printer
  • Save/download your secret phrase to a file on your computer
  • Copy the secret phrase to your clipboard
  • View the secret phrase and make a picture/hand written note/etc..

Awesome! I saw it on Github ;)Waiting for my small btc transfer to be verified before I continue.

Is there any way to see and confirm the amount of HEAT tokens we will receive?
I have an estimate, but it would be nice to confirm. I made 3 seperate transfers from my address to the BTC direct deposit address during ICO.

Also, I completed the verification of the address, and put my coupon code as well in the box. The page said everything was fine. Then when I left the screen, if I click on "CLAIM YOUR HEAT", it just starts over again. Is my address verification, linked to my HEAT genesis address saved somewhere?

EDIT: If you try to claim again with the same address you used, and continue, it will say ''You have succesfully verified the address" and show the address that belongs to you :)

Is there any way to see and confirm the amount of HEAT tokens we will receive?
Not currently, as the laddered pricing schedule requires manual confirmation of every stake amount.

There seems to be an issue with claiming HEAT sent through ETH replay safe contracts.

I am getting this message when trying to claim my HEAT.

The address you provided does not seem to participate in the ICO

We'll be adjusting that in the next days, or will alternatively request manual processing.

Does this release come with API access for testnet?

Does this release come with API access for testnet?
No, testnet is still inhouse. The downloadable client is thin client.

It was easiest with FIMK and NXT since you only have one address in a wallet, and a bit harder with BTC (had to use the Coin Control Feature since a BTC wallet contains many addresses, not only one).

I used multibit HD to send the btc from my wallet. How and where do you use Coin Control Feature?

If coin control on Multibit isn't available, I heard you may be able to sign a message with a specific address. You can also verify your tokens manually by signing a message and sending the data to support at heatledger dot com.

The Coin Control Feature is available in Bitcoin Core, https://bitcoin.org/en/download
How could you benefit from that if you used Multibit HD for the ICO participation? If you're able to export address specific private keys from Multibit, you sure can take them to any thin client without the need for Bitcoin Core.

Importing private keys into Bitcoin Core is very easy. In the console window it is simply: importprivkey <bitcoinprivkey> [label]
But, I agree, if the ICO verification can be done without having to download the entire bitcoin blockchain, it is better.

If you own the privkey, you can use electrum. I use electrum, and I import my privkey, then it will load up the wallet with that specific address.

Hi,

first of all congratulations to the successful implementation of 0.1.1 wallet.

Does somebody know what will happen to our coins in the test wallet?

Is it still possible, if yes how, to participate in the ICO?

Thanks for your help!

"If you have an ICO cashback coupon, please enter it below.
Cashback claim link will be sent within 2 weeks from HEAT genesis to the email address you used when signing up for the cashback."

what's this mean? what is cashback?

They either remain there as test-heat, or are removed. They have no relevance to the live HEAT tokens.

You can buy HEAT ICO credits from C-CEX, CCEDK, or Alcurex. Owning those ICO credits makes you equal to any stakeholder who participated in the ICO, except for the exchange there inbetween handling the distribution of your tokens.

Cashback is a bonus you'll receive back in the original cryptocurrency (or maybe option to take in HEAT tokens, not yet decided).
